We announce the death of Donald Corbett (Holyrood, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 67. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Donald will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Donald will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Donald’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Corbett and John "Jack" Corbett; his wife Kathy Corbett; and his siblings, Dan, Freddy and Rose Marie Corbett.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Edwina Walsh (Denny).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hickey's Funeral Home (294 Conception Bay Hwy, Holyrood, NL A0A 2R0). A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Harbour Main Church.
If friends so desire, tribute donations may be made to the Health Care Foundation's Comfort in Care program founded by his wife Kathy Corbett, or to a charity of one's choice.
