He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. A. E. Shapter and Elizabeth Bartlett Shapter. He is survived by: his siblings, Janine Howse, Debbie Sturge, Kathleen Shapter, Bonita Shapter and Michael Shapter; his wife Jean Butler; his stepdaughter Kate Butler; his niece Jodi Sturge; his great-nephew Wilem Sturge; and his friends, Brett Dawe and Jean Williams.
