It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Gerard Burton (Holyrood, Newfoundland), who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Eugene leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Gerry Burton; his grandparents, George and Alice Burton; and his mother Lucy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (NL-92, North Harbour, NL A0B 2Y0). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A rosary will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
