It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Josephine Ghaney (Holyrood, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Doran and Veronica Doran; her parents-in-law, Ben and Bride Ghaney; her brothers, Willy, Pad, Fred and Martin; her brother-in-law Johnny; and her grandson Jeffrey Searle.

She is survived by: her husband Sid; her sons, Derek (Kim), Rick (Sandy) and Scott; her grandchildren, Emily, Kaitlyn (Andrew), Sara and Casey; her great grandchild Dawson; her siblings, Mary (Lou), Madonna (Barry), Chris (Anthony), Sylvia, Jack (Rose), Joe (Patsy) and Leo (Mary); her sister-in-law Kay Wall; and her sister Pat.
