I had the pleasure of meeting her in person about twenty years ago on a visit to Newfoundland with my Mom - Miriam May Stroede (her 2nd sister). We met at Chatty & Jimmy’s house, drank some whiskey and played cards. I remember her as a person that embraced life and lived it with great gusto. I hope you take some comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and through the the many momeries you have shared. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
