He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Hewitt and Malcolm Hewitt of Joe Batt; his wife Joyce Peckford; his brother William; and his grandsons, Micheal Burry and Brent Tyler.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Hewitt (Jackie), Jacqueline Hill (Jeff), Janice Burry, Jeffery Hewitt, Joy Tyler (Neil) and Judy Segee (Dave); his siblings, Mary Blake and Edward Pike; and his sister-in-law Jessie Freake. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in his memory to the Baytona Cemetery Fund.
