He was predeceased by: his son Mitchell; his parents, Donald and Anastasia; and his sister Sharon. He is survived by: his wife Madonna; his children, Dean (Erica), Pamela (Glenn), Shelley (Ryan), Valerie (Alona), Nancy (Philip), Samantha (Sean) and Leya; his brothers, Rodger (Mary), Gus, Danny (Caroline) and Tim (Patricia); his brother-in-law Derrick; and his sisters, Linda (Ira), Mildred and Joyce (Rex).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Science department at Fogo Island Central Academy.
