She was predeceased by : her husband Edward "Twit" Besso; her parents, Evelyn Tilley and Randell Tilley; her siblings, Raymond Tilley, Bette Meaney and Lois Morgan; and her son-in-law William "Bill" Howse.

She is survived by : her children, Randy (Fitz), Greg (Joanne Wicks), Annette Howse, Jennifer Cummins (Steve), Linda (Aaron) and Diane Besso; her grandchildren, Angie Legge (Kent), Robert Besso (Jennifer O'Brien), Bradley Howse, Renee Hallingham (Rob), Ashley Newell (Alfie), Randell Besso (Melissa), Lisa Walsh (Scott), Jessica Besso (Gerry King) and Katie Moussa Mark (Khaled); and her sisters, Olga Dawe, Joan Johnson, Sandra MacLennan and Brenda Morgan.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hickey's Funeral Home (570 Conception Bay Hwy, Conception Bay South, NL A1X 7P8). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Hickey's Memorial Chapel (570 Conception Bay Hwy, Conception Bay South, NL A1X 7P8).

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
