He was predeceased by : his wife Hilary; his parents, Gerald Murphy and Marion Murphy; and his brothers, Brian and William.

He is survived by : his children, Lisa Hawco (Paddy), Paul (Melissa) and Chad (Kelly); his grandchildren, Kyle (Katelyn), Jenna, Laura (Kevin), Evan, Ryan, Ireland, Kinley and Fallyn; his great grandchild Parker; and his siblings, Gordon (Val), Geraldine Roache (Dan), Catherine Devereaux (Doug), Toni Murphy and Dawe.
