Golda Ward Obituary

We bid farewell to Golda Ward (La Scie, Newfoundland), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2026 at the age of 87. Golda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd Ward; her son Sandy Ward; her parents, Pearce Dicks and Ida Dicks; her parents-in-law, Lorenzo and Hazel Ward; her siblings, Juanita Dicks, Frederick Dicks, Molly Dicks and Verbena Winsor; her son-in-law Donald Haas; and her brothers-in-law, James Martin, Barry Kean and Harold Ward (Effie).

She is survived by: her children, Wavey Haas of Brents Cove, NL, Geraldine Gourley (Jerry Parsons) of Digby, NS, Ida Skinner (Walter) of Springdale, NL, Nancy Ward (Shannon Clance) of La Scie, NL, Lisa Ward of Fort McMurray, AB, Gerald Ward of Halifax, NS, Corey Ward (Tanya Snow) of La Scie, NL and Troy Ward of Dartmouth, NS; her grandchildren, Dwayne Skinner (Sherry), Laura Lillington (Mike), Shauna Haas, Danielle Boone (Jerry Noble), Candace Ward (Robbie Jacobs), Michael Gourley (Jenn Tucker), Jeffrey Gourley, Burton Ward (Brittany Abbott) and Brady Ward (Emily); her sisters, Neta Butt (Sam) and Irene Kean; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Ward; and her sister-in-law Sandra Foster (Roy). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the The Salvation Army Citadel (29 Budgells Ln, La Scie, NL A0K3M0). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
