It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Burton (La Scie, Newfoundland), who passed away on April 8, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Oswald Burton; her parents, Jacob Martin and Lavinia Martin; her parents-in-law, Samuel and Rowena Burton; her siblings, Maisie Martin, Doris Wimbleton, William Martin, Irene Newbury, Boyce Martin, Jacob Martin and Eric Martin; and her siblings-in-law, Reginald Burton, Dorman Burton, Nerissa Hamlyn, Bernice Greenham and Ruby Andrews.

She is survived by : her children, Ivan Burton (Carolann) and Deanna Matthews (Guy); her grandsons, Dean Burton (Megan), Douglas Matthews and Dylan Matthews (Andrea); her great grandchildren, Maisie Matthews and Zack Burton; her sister Ivy Cooper (Robert); and her siblings-in-law, Pearce Andrews (Shirley), Daisy Martin and Ruby Martin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Public Visitation took place at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.
