He is survived by: his wife Effie Hunt; his children, Jean Eddy (Rob) of Paradise, NL, Joan Hunt (Randy Elliott) of Shoe Cove, NL, Sheila Hunt-Coates (Gerald) of Brampton, ON, Terry Hunt (Patricia) of Shelburne, ON, Craig Hunt (Ellen Butler) of Brent's Cove, NL, Cordella Toms (Robert) of Brampton, ON and Matilda Bath (Craig) of La Scie, NL; his grandchildren, Brent Hunt (Megan Jenkins), Tiffany Hunt, Taylor Coates, Dalton Hunt, Riley Coates, Russian Hunt, Asian Hunt, Claire Bath and Sofia Bath; his niece Kristina Baker; his sibling Beryl Goodyear (Chesley); his siblings-in-law, Albert Kean, Margaret Hunt, Ralph Gray, Alma Osmond, Rose Foster (Jim), Marjorie Dicks (Baxter) and Kathy Gray; Allison Hunt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zion United Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
