Shirley Burton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Burton of La Scie, Newfoundland, who passed away on December 18, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George Bath and Gertie Bath (Greenham); her parents-in-law, Edwin and Gertrude Burton; her brother Lewis Bath; her siblings-in-law, Ella Inder (Chesley), Rita Hamlyn (Gordon), Marina Gray, Randolph Burton (Hazel), Robert Burton (Mildred), Clarence Burton (Clara), Lloyd Burton (Ruby), Ralph Burton (Idella), Jerry Andrews, Roy Gillingham and Marg Bath; and also Leslie Bath (Fay).

She is survived by : her husband Bond Burton of La Scie, NL; her children, Sheila Foster (Doug) of Fort McMurray, AB, David Burton of Fort McMurray, AB and Eugene Burton (Jane); her grandchildren, Mark Foster, Holly Severance, Lucas Burton and Noah Burton (Riley); her siblings, Willis Bath (Greta), Mabel Andrews, Otis Bath (Claudine), Golda Ward (Chesley) and Vay Bath (Emily); her siblings-in-law, Jim Burton (Marion), Doreen Morey, Betty Noseworthy, Kathleen Gillingham, Louise Gillingham (Ralph), Fern Bath and Raymond Gray; and her friend Joan Stuckless (Norm). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.

Public Visitation took place at Bethel Pentecostal Church, La Scie, NL on Monday, December 21st, 2020 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 7:00PM-9:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in Shirley's memory to the Bethel Pentecostal Women's Ministries Outreach, P.O. Box 51, La Scie, NL A0K 3M0.
