William Joseph Skinner Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of William (Billy) Joseph Skinner of Labrador City, Newfoundland, who passed peacefully away on March 24, 2021, after a lengthy illness at the age of 67.
Predeceased by his parents, William & Rosalie Skinner, sisters Elizabeth Snook and Minnie Skinner.
Leaving to mourn, his wife of 44 years Phyllis (nee Hicks), daughters Vanessa (Darryl Decker), Nikita (David Waterman), Granddaughter Emma Waterman (Poppy's Pride and Joy). His brothers, Charlie (Joan), Tom, Morgan (Merina), Greg (Idryn), Barry (Cathy), Terry (Suzanne), & sister Trixie.
He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended Hicks family, Ron (Robin), Terry (Sheila), Donna (Colin Blackmore), Bob (Sherry), Kay (Gerard Rumbolt), Tzena, and along with so many dear friends.
Billy was a very fun loving man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, ski-dooing, boating and watching sports. Took pride in his community gardens, where he would take a drive practically every day to see if his potato plants grew an inch overnight. He loved to see company come, have a sing a-long, play spoons, whistle or strum on an old broom like he was playing guitar. He loved to laugh and tell stories/jokes.
He was one of a kind!
A celebration of Billy's life will be held at a later date.
