He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Kirby and Mary Ann Kirby; his brother Tom Kirby; and his parents-in-law, Dennis and Bibiana Drake.

He is survived by : his wife Stella; his children, Corey Kirby (Lisa) of Edmonton, AB, Wanda Slaney (Harry) of Torbay, NL and Colleen Webber (Jamie) of Calgary, AB; his siblings, Bride Locke (Don), Bess Kirby, Dorothy Phelan, Pats Mauger (Art), Mary Isaacs (Bob), Jean Simms (Carl), Rich Kirby (Bertha), Ray Kirby (Jackie) and Clem Kirby (Lu Ann); his siblings-in-law, Ann Kirby, Catherine Benteau (Leo), Julia Haley (John), Angela Thornhill (Don), Mary Stapleton (Wayne), Lorraine Hoffman, Robert Drake (Jeanette), Dennis Drake Jr., Andrew Drake (Ruth), Gregory Drake, Anthony Drake (Cecilia), Gerard Drake (Hellen), Edward Drake and Marcel Drake (Denise Burfitt); and his grandchildren, Brady, William, Natalie, Dylan and Jaxson.

Due to the current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 no visitation or funeral service will be held at this time.
