He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hillier and Lulu Hillier; his parents-in-law, Thomas and Dorothy Hillier; his brothers, Randell Hillier (Ernestine), Claude Hillier and Aubrey Hillier; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Hillier, Nicki Hillier, Billy Hillier, John Hooper and Rex Hardy.

He is survived by: his wife Ethel Hillier; his sons, Danny Hillier (Karen) of Torbay and David Hillier (Jennifer) of Torbay; his grandchildren, Danielle, Dylan, Brodie and Adelynn; his siblings, Sharon Martin (Scott), Edgar Hillier, Wayne Hillier (Lillian), Hubert Hillier (Diane), Morgan Hillier (Bernadette) and Barry Hillier; his siblings-in-law, Beulah Hooper, Pauline Hardy, Carol Cousins (Donald), Sylvia Letournel, Fonda Hillier, Albert Hillier (Ruby), Johnny Hillier (Jean), Glen Hillier and Paul Hillier; and his close friends, Joe Haley and Doug Collins.
