Greta Bonnell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2025, Greta Bonnell (Lamaline, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Hillier and Effie Hillier; her husband Walter Bonnell; her son Reginald Bonnell; her siblings, Freeman Hillier, Roy Hillier, Lloyd Hillier and Alice Hillier; and her son-in-law William Lundrigan.
She is survived by: her children, Lorena Lundrigan (Brian) of Marystown, Evelyn Pittman (Martin) and Walter Bonnell Jr. (Michelle) of Torbay; her daughter-in-law Elaine Bonnell of Mount Pearl; her grandchildren, Jamie Pittman (Nicole), Melanie Gaulton (Scott), Christopher Lundrigan (Jane), Heather Bonnell, Michael Bonnell, Jason Pittman (Madison), Joey Bonnell and Grant Bonnell; her great grandchildren, Olivia Gaulton, Patrick Lundrigan, Ethan Pittman, Everett Pittman and Liam Gaulton; and her siblings, Gladys Bonnell (Garfield), Eileen Rose (George), Jean Rose (Donald), Marge Rose (Steve), Shirley Lockyer (Raphael) and William (Marilyn).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Anglican Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery. A reception was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the St. Mary's Anglican Church.
In Greta's honor donations can be made to the St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery Fund or flowers are gratefully accepted.
