Anita Edwards Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2026, Anita Edwards of Lawn, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sons, Alfred Walsh (Alberta), James Walsh and Martin Walsh; her stepdaughter Bib Edwards; her parents, Patrick Tarrant and Jane Tarrant; her parents-in-law, Lionel, Elizabeth Walsh, Alphonse and Bridget Edwards; and her siblings, Ester Edwards (Thomas), Florence Kearney (Michael), Mary Lambe (Pad), Catherine Roul (Robert), Henry Tarrant (Peggy), Leo Tarrant (Joan), James Tarrant (Edith) and Otto Tarrant.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Walsh (Colleen) of St. Lawrence, John Walsh (Nancy) of Barrie, ON, Beth Rice of Lloydminster, AB, Barb Webber (Leroy) of Grand Falls, Windsor and Lucy Slaney (Alex) of St. Lawrence; her stepdaughter Elsie Roul (Thomas) of Brampton, ON; her sister-in-law Priscilla Tarrant of Lawn; and her caregiver Wendy Taylor. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Jesus Church. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 2:30 PM and on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM. The inurnment was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jesus Cemetery Old Cemetery.
In Anita's memory donations may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church or flowers gratefully accepted.
