He was predeceased by : his parents, Annie Louise and James Sheppard; and his siblings, Sophie and Baxter. He is survived by : his daughters, Tina Belbin (Scott), Jennifer Welsh (Byron), Lorna Sargent (Chris) and Ann Marie Hodder (Kirk); his grandchildren, Mark, Laura (Mark Abbott), Heather, Peter, Andrew, Jenna, Paige, Tegan, Katie and James; his siblings, Juanita Foss (Stanley), Bob (Julie), Maisie Wells (Max), Marina Collins (Edward), Minnie Ralph (Dexter), Larry (Audrey) and Gaye Penny (Ford); his sister-in-law Daphne Sheppard; his mother-in-law Mary Head of Boyd's Cove; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dove (Boyce), Phoebe Farr (Victor), Eileen Mercer (Bruce), Sharon Rogers (Dennis) and Marie Oake (Fred); and his wife Golda.

Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Lewisporte. (Service will be available online) As expressions of sympathy, flowers are accepted, or donations may be made in Cluny's memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
