He was predeceased by : his parents, Horace Lane and Madeline Lane. He is survived by : his wife Karen; his daughters, Carla, Dana (Mike), Sara (Chris) and Amy (Brady); his stepchildren, Melanie (Rod) and Joshua; his grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Sydney, Austin, Lily, Maddie and Callie; his former life partner Vivian Lane; and his siblings, Jerry (Linda), Mona (Terry), Kay (Ron) and Jackie (Rob). He is also survived by his nephews, nieces, and countless friends.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Matthew's United Church would be gratefully accepted.
