It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Baker (Lewisporte, Newfoundland), who passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Verna; his children, Viola Beaton (Melvin), Ivan (Colleen), Byron (Kim), Ada Sheppard (Dennis), Lorne (Tina) and Lynette Cole (Bill); his grandchildren, Shane (Joanne), Sheldon (Deborah), Justin (Deanna), Jordon, Danielle (Byron), Chad (Kelsey), Matthew (Allison), Micah (Renee), Julia (Andrew), Jenna (Jared) and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Sophie, Hilary, Rachel, Eli, Simon, Ellie, Maya, Samuel, Levi, Lydia, Lauren, Lily and Noah; and his brothers, Larry and William Baker.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Maranatha Pentecostal Church (49 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Maranatha Pentecostal Cemetery Fund will be gratefully accepted.
