James Nippard Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nippard and Bessie Nippard (Rumbolt); his siblings, Herman, Bruce, Derek, Elizabeth, May, Laura and Greta; his stepbrother Max; and his in-laws, Olin Canning, Gerald Eveleigh, Tom Payne, Basil Clark, Walter Guy Sr. and Donna Nippard.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Hurley; his sons, Tony, Billy (Holly) and Paul (Glenda); his grandchildren, Chad (Heidi), Melissa, Crystal Snyder (Jeff), Jeffrey, Bradley, Ashley, Tyler, Dakota and Geneiva; his siblings, Baxter (Valerie), David (Clarissa), Ruby Canning, Theresa Knee (Bill), Ruth Day (Ivan) and Judy Walsh (Boyd); and his close friends, Mary King (Dennis), Denise Henstridge, Ruby Troake and Calvin Brenton. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Families Funeral Home (9 Forward Dr, Lewisporte, NL A0G 3A0). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Glad Tidings Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at the Community Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated in his memory to ERDO CCP (Child Care Plus) for Malawi or to the Embree Cemetery Fund.
