He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Penney and Bessie Penney; his daughter Goldie Reid; his son-in-law Barry Budden; and his sister-in-law Audrey Hoddinott.
He is survived by: his wife Marina Stuckey of Pike's Arm; his daughter Diane Budden; his grandchildren, Dennis Budden, Keith Budden, Whitney Compton (Blaine) and Rebecca White (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Cruz Budden, Peyton Compton, Casey White and Luke Compton; and his brother-in-law Cyril Hoddinott.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home (262 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Matthew's United Church (120 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0). The inurnment was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at the St. Matthew's Cemetery.
