It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Schmidt of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilfred Brown and Ella Brown; her husband John Schmidt; and her siblings, Dorothy, Marjorie, Shirley, Bert, Ernest and Gerald.
She is survived by : her daughter Heather; her sister Judy; and her close friends, Patricia and Susan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, also a large circle of other relatives and friends.
As expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center will be gratefully accepted.
