With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelson E. Troake of Little Burnt Bay, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 25, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nelson E. Troake to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ida Troake (Foss); his parents, Fred and Lillian; his siblings, Carrie Blake, Lydia Wheaton, Claude, Tom and Harold Barnes; and his siblings-in-law, Jim, Albert Foss and Alverta Foss.
He is survived by: his children, Harvey Troake, Maxine Coles (Ed), Dorothy LeDrew (Paul) and Dianne Pelley (Todd); his grandchildren, Holly, Jeremy, Terry, Chelsey, Kyle and Jared; and his great grandchildren, Daniel and Benjamin. He is also survived by family members and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Families Funeral Home (9 Forward Dr, Lewisporte, NL A0G 3A0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Community Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy donation may be made in his memory to the Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle Building Fund.
