He was predeceased by: his son Andre Young. He is survived by: his wife Sandi Young (Flynn); his children, Heather (Allan) Smoliak (Young), Illyana Smoliak and Eric Young (Lindsey McIssac); and his grandchildren, Andre Young, Mia Young and Illyana Smoliak.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (78 Main St, Lourdes, NL A0N1R0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Donation in Wayne's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Society or to the Alzheimer's Society.
