He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli West and Emily West (Stokes); his sister Reta; his siblings-in-law, Charlie Stokes and Joan West; his niece Marilyn; his great-nephew Gene; and his brother Morris West (Beatrice).

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Emma West; and his nieces and nephews, Joan, Glenda, Dale, Lawrence and Deanne.
