It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Brennan (Marystown, Newfoundland), who passed away on December 30, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edwin Brennan to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Annie; his brother Terry; his sibling's children, Cheryl, Hope, Elizabeth, Robert and Jakob; and the mother of his children Rosella.
He is survived by: his children, Eddy, Sheldon (Pam), Dwayne (Denise) and Corina (Stewart); his grandsons, Jakob and Brayden; his siblings, Mike (Lois), Bill, Hughie, Gerard (Meredith), Jim (Charmaine), Mary Mayo (Lem), Gladys Stacey (Barry), Margaret Kavanagh (Patrick), Sandra (Chuck), Tish Elford (Darren) and Penny Sharpe (Linden); and his close friends, Ellen Connolly, Doreen Lundrigan, Eugene Murphy, Johnny Davis and Hubert Rideout. He is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0). A burial was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart R. C. Cemetery (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0). The inurnment was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0).
In his memory, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula SPCA or the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
