He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin and Susan; his cousin Kirby; his wife Jessie Ducey Kirby; his siblings, Elizabeth Slaney (Robert), Joseph Kirby (Ethel), James Kirby (Sheila), Lena Collins (Alphonsus), Michael Kirby (Sheila), Stella Leon (Michael), Gladys Kirby and Mary Ellen Kirby; his parents-in-law, William and Clotilda Pittman; his siblings-in-law, Rupert Pittman, Mary Ann Hynes, Ernestine Brake, Lydia Power-Fitzpatrick, Madonna O'Rourke-Lake and Sister Margaret Pittman; his nephew Paul Kirby; his son-in-law Gord Dunphy; and his great grandchild Jovie June Kent.
He is survived by: his children, Carl Slaney (Marg), Carlo Slaney (Mag), Wayne Slaney (Mary), Judy Pittman (Rube) and Susan Brushett (Earl); his nieces and nephews, Peter Kirby, John Kirby, Frances Wood (Kirby), Shelley Paulozza (Kirby), Michael Kirby, Lisa Freer (Leon), Bradly Leon and Mark Collins; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Stephen Slaney, Cora Kerrivan, Trina Walsh, Carla Warren, Tracey Underhill, Rob Slaney, Paul Slaney, Colin Pittman, Erin Dimmer, Susan Crummey, Ryan Brushett, Peggy Kelly, Caron Butt, Curtis Pittman and Megan Bussey; his stepchildren, Derek Ducey (Jeanette), Jocelyn Dunphy, Theresa Ducey (Glenn), Mary Lou Short (Eric), Ruth Peddle (Wally) and Al Ducey (Shirley); his grandchildren, Melissa Burton, Dana Dion, Steven Ducey, Lori McKay, Jessica Handrigan, Erica Short, David Ducey, Jason Farrell, Mark Dunphy, Richard Short, Michael Ducey, Rob Ducey, Allison Kent, William Short, Christina Rose, Joshua Peddle, Catherine Ducey, Maria Berberi and Aloysius Ducey III; and his nieces, Carol Power and Doreen Power Boone. He is also survived by his grandchildren, he has left to mourn 30 great-grandchildren.
