He was predeceased by: his sister Daphne Stanley (Bruce); his parents, Lydia Brown and Samuel Brown; his siblings, Ernest, Ephram, Clarence (Thelma), Abraham, Sarah Brown, Susie Brinston (Nelson) and Marjorie Norris (Seymour); and his niece Roxanne Stanley.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Brown (Kelley) of Calgary, AB and Cathy Power of Dartmouth, NS; his grandchildren, Brianna, Caelia, Griffin and Makenna; his partner Jessie Abbott; his sisters, Blanche Branton, Myrtle Branton, Verlie Chaulk of Clarenville and Dianne Hamlyn (Scott) of Deep Bight; and his sister-in-law Bessie Brown of Sunnyside.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary United Church (25 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0).
In Harvey's memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital.
