Margaret Murphy Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Murphy (Marystown, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 21, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Pike (Mary) and Bernice Pike; her parents-in-law, Michael and Alicia Murphy; her aunt Flora Beal; her grandmother Cecilia; her siblings, Joan Hawkins (John), Bride Dumelie and Kenneth Pike; her granddaughter Annabel Abbott; and her in-laws, Flora Brophy, Raymond Murphy, Ella Murphy and Francis Murphy.

She is survived by: her husband Russell Murphy; her children, Jody (Lynn), Darryl (Tammy), Rochelle (Chris), Abbott (Torbay), Robert (Janelle), Margo (Pete) and Soucy; her grandchildren, Grace, Hannah, Aaron, Logan, Caleb, Damien, Caden, Jordyn, Quinn, Mick, Lauren, Claire and Ryan; her siblings, Flora Pennell (Ern), Karen Pike-Farrell (Shawn), Carl Pike (Jennifer) and Bill Power; and her sister-in-law Sandra Pike. She is also survived by extended family and many close friends.
