She was predeceased by : her husband Freeman; her son Rodney; her parents, John Coombs and Sarah Coombs; and her siblings, Julia, John, Frank, Mike, Austin, Leo and William.
She is survived by : her sister Edith Hackett (John); her children, Melinda Hatcher (Emmanuel) of Marystown, Ada Hickey (Charles) of Terrenceville, Daphne Matthews (Robert) of Burin, Kelly Byrde of Marystown and Will Byrde (Carolann) of St. John's; her grandchildren, Trina, Sheranda, Krista, Colleen, Darryl, Ada, Charlene, Charles, Nathan, Denika, Terri, Norman, Deon, Danielle, Tyson and Chiara; and her niece Joan Coombs.
