He was predeceased by: his parents, Igol Barnes and Beatrice Barnes; his parents-in-law, Giles and Melinda Pardy; his siblings, Ambrose Barnes (Julia), Theresa Hickey (Tim), Edna Hickman (Charles) and Joyce Barnes (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Roy Pardy, Ray Harris, John Pardy, Albert King, Jeff Bragg, Cora Herridge (Russell) and Myra Pardy.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Barnes; his daughter Daisy Farrell (Chris) of Marystown; his granddaughter Cheyenne; his brother Harrison Barnes (Audrey) of Marystown; his siblings-in-law, Hazel Harris of Marystown, Yvonne Pardy (Gerry), Margaret King of Marystown, Mamie Wall (Shawn) of Burin, Christine Bragg of Little Harbour East, Janet Pardy of Marystown, Richard Pardy of St. Bernard's, Don Pardy (Rita) of Boat Harbour, Norman Pardy (Violet) of Boat Harbour, Roland Pardy (Mildred) of Marystown, Lloyd Pardy (Tina) of St. John's and Raymond Pardy (Michelle) of St. John's; and his nephew Justin Wall (Suella).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church (19 Barter Pl, Creston North, NL A0E1K0). The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery.
