He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pittman and Elizabeth Pittman (Drake); and his siblings, Mary Hodder (Sam), Joe, John and Ellen.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Kearley (Sonny) of Marystown and Donald Pittman (Angela) of St. John's; his wife Helene; his stepchildren, Timmy and Susan; his grandchildren, Ally (Jamie), Jessica, Pamela (Randy), Madison, Mackenzie, Carly, Avery and Chad; his siblings, Don (Carol), Hughie (Marianne), Loretta (Bernard) and Leonard (Sophia); his sisters-in-law, Magdalene, Linda, Diane, Ella, Pearl and Dot; and his caregiver Crystal. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Home - Creston South (Peninsula Funeral Home) (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0).
