He was predeceased by : his parents, Phonse Hawco and Annie Hawco; his brothers, Harold (Patsy) and Leonard; his niece Sandra Oke; and his friend Rick Harris.

He is survived by : his daughters, Caron (John Hutton), Tracey (Shawn Rowe) and Dana (Bruce Chafe); the mother of his children Ella Hawco; his grandchildren, Daniel and Abby; his siblings, Adrian (Beth), Cliff (Dorothy), Albert (Carolann), Jean Gibbons, Callista Didham (Hughie) and Carmella Singleton (Brian); his sister-in-law Shirley; and his close friend Vera McGrath.
