He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter White and Theresa White; his son Donald; his son-in-law Stephen Field; his parents-in-law, John and Bridget Gushue; his siblings, John (Agnes), Michael (Ann), Jerome (Mary), Hubert (Doris), Kevin (Frances), Mary Ellen (Jim Daly), Pad Breen and Florrie (Thomas St. Croix); his brothers-in-law, Douglas Touchet, Edward Gushue (Myrtle), Leo Gushue (Peggy) and Nicholas Walsh; and his pet Tilly.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Gushue); his children, Carl (Arlene), Colleen (Field) and Terry; his grandchildren, Alexander (Kelly), Emily Field (John) and Charlotte Field (Lenny); his great grandchild Clara Jane; his sister Imelda Touchet; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Gushue (Gail), Carmel Walsh, Margie Barry (Duncan), Ellen Sampson and Jeanne Goudie.
