Benedict Dunne Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benedict Dunne of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Dunne and Agnes Dunne; his sister Philippa Dunne; his parents-in-law, Gus and Jane O'Flaherty of Northern Bay; and his siblings-in-law, Edward, Patrick O'Flaherty and Sheila Dunne.

He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Dunne (O'Flaherty); his children, Raeleen Baggs (Kurtis) and Bradley Dunne (Candice Verge); his grandchildren, Taylor and Gavin Baggs; his siblings, Shirley Stapleton (Kevin), Patricia Dwyer (Matt), Anna Edmunds (Mike), Cecilia Broderick (John) and Margie Whitty (Gary); his nephew Paul Dunne (Sherri); and his parents-in-law, Mary King (Mike), Rosaleen O'Flaherty, William O'Flaherty (Florence Ann), Fabian O'Flaherty (Carol Ann) and Marjorie Doyle (late Patrick O'Flaherty).

As per Covid restrictions, the funeral service will be held at Barrett's Memorial Chapel by invitation only.
