He was predeceased by: his wife Iris Blackwood; his parents, Cluny Blackwood and Audrey Blackwood; his brother Terry; and his parents-in-law, George and Lucy Boggan.
He is survived by: his children, Lesley, Steven (Allison) and Jill (Patrick); his grandchildren, Joshua, Julia, Julianne, Jessie and Amelia; and his close friend Willow.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home Mount Pearl Chapel - Mt. Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honour to the Parkinson's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
