He was predeceased by : his wife Gail Leonora; his parents, Benjamin and Elvina (Drake); and his parents-in-law, Leo and Joyce (Sellers).

He is survived by : his sons, Elliot (Andrea) and Anthony; his grandchildren, Emma, Layne, Own and Alex; his brother Dave (Jan); his nephews, Allen (Mandy) and Benjamin; and his siblings-in-law, Linda (Howard) and Gerald (Louise).
