Claude Hoyles Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hoyles and Muriel Hoyles; his daughter Paula Baggs; his sister Dorothy Edwards (Herb); his parents-in-law, Douglas and Marion Rideout; and his brother-in-law George Rideout.

He is survived by: his wife Viola; his children, George (Pauline), Keith (Theresa), Claudette Hoyles (Eliza Lynch) and Janice Saunders (Glen); his son-in-law Robin Baggs; his grandchildren, Samantha Pynn (Matthew), Melissa Baggs, Ryan Baggs, Evan Hoyles (Jayne), Tyler Hoyles (Katelyn), Zachary Hoyles (Hannah Poole), Kyle Saunders and Ocean Saunders; his great grandchildren, Theo, Luca Hoyles, Maddison, Taylor Pynn and Remi Hoyles; his sisters, Violet Burry (late Ed), Classie Button (Don) and Gertie Webb (Bruce); his sister-in-law Elaine Paul; and his niece Dayna Paul. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home - Mount Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Church (221 Park Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1L3). The inurnment will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery (25 Beaumont Hamel Way, St. John's, NL A1H1A3).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Claude's memory to First United Church, Mount Pearl.
