Cyril Lloyd Ivany Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cyril Lloyd Ivany of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, who passed away on May 17, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ivany and Carrie Ivany; his siblings, Harold, Clarence, Douglas (Margie), Irene Locke (Ches) and Joan Mercer (Ches); his parents-in-law, Wilfred and Virtue Lush; and his sister-in-law Ada Mae Gosse.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his children, Kim Sparkes (Doug) and John (Michelle); his granddaughters, Alicia (Kylie), Kaitlin (Mike), Brittany (Riley) and Kristen; and his brother-in-law Wilfred Lush (Miki). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many special friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home - Mount Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First United Church (221 Park Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1L3).
Flowers will be gratefully accepted by the family or donations may be made in his memory to the Chron's and Colitis Canada or The NL Lung Association.
