We announce the death of Dorothy J. (Penney) Dunne (Mount Pearl, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 87. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her daughter Denise; her parents, Jim Penney and Helen Penney; and her siblings, Vincent, Jack, Robert, Mike and Kathy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle (Jim), Roberta and Colleen (Tony); her son-in-law Ed; her grandchildren, Kate, Sarah, Jamie, Laurie, Kailey, Jessie, Zachary, Matthew, Mitchell and Cole; her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Emily, Beatrice, Norah, Henry, Millie, Jack, Lilly, Charlie and Garrett; and her siblings, Hilda, Mary, Alice and Fred.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Teresa's Church (120 Mundy Pond Rd, St. John's, NL A1E1V1). The inurnment will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (799 Topsail Rd, Mount Pearl, NL A1N3J6).
