He was predeceased by: his former wife Laura; his daughter Marion; his parents, Alfred Hillier and Mabel Hillier; and his siblings, Jim, Jacob and Mamie Manuel (late Carl).
He is survived by: his wife Thelma; his children, Warrick (Florence), Louise Marsh (Chris), Carl (Phyllis), Patsy Sheppard (Harvey), Sterling (Blair), Lloyd (Jeanette), Donna Baylis (Robert) and Dwight (Charlene); his stepsons, Gordon Noseworthy (Cathy) and David Noseworthy; his siblings, Hazel Chaulk (late Laurie) and Bruce (Judy); and his sister-in-law Andrea Hillier. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Due to severe allergies, the family requests no flowers and a scent free setting. As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory can be made to The Salvation Army New-Wes-Valley or The Salvation Army Mount Pearl Citadel Senior Band.
