He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis; his parents, Mark and Gladys; his parents-in-law, Harry and Bessy Piercey; his siblings, Wilson, George (Joan) and Pearl Shave (Phil); his nephew Andrew; and his son-in-law Peter Davies.

He is survived by: his daughters, Ina (George) and Pam; his grandchildren, Megan, Katie (Seth) and Evan (Breanna); his great grandchildren, Ruth, Adrian, Elijah, Kieran and Kayden; his brother Jake (Barb); his siblings-in-law, Ken Piercey (Ruby) and Mary Leyte; and his close friends, Daphne Blackwood and Jim Brewer.
