He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie; his son Colin; his parents, Nathanial Jarvis and Emmeline Jarvis; his parents-in-law, Chesley and Annie Hann; and his brother John.

He is survived by: his son Ian; his siblings-in-law, Pearleen Kennedy and William Hann; his nieces, Lisa Jarvis and Michelle Collins; his nephew John Jarvis; Ann Marie of Public Heath. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
