He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Mutrey and Sarah Mutrey; his wife Effie; and his siblings, Cornelea Coish, Ed Mutrey and Elijah Mutrey.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Walsh (Paul) and Keith Mutrey; his grandchildren, Colin Walsh (Lynn) and Kerri Lynn Spurrell (late Don); his great grandchildren, Rachel and Logan Spurrell; and his sisters, Edith Coish and Vivian Noftle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his good friends.
