He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his sons, Jerry and Donald; his grandchildren, Jessica, Dawson and Chelsie; his parents, Thomas Coombs and Hanorah Coombs; and his sibling Leaving.

He is survived by: his children, Maureen (Gary), Sharon (Carl), Allan (Rhonda), Sherry (Sheldon) and Margaret; his grandchildren, Cindy, Jennifer, Felicia, Kurtis, Natalie, Brandon, Hailey and Noah; and his caregivers, Mary, Graham, Bonnie and Dr. O'Donnell.

Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations can be made in memory of Gerald to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
