We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2025, at the age of 86, Geraldine Mary (Shortall) Sceviour of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John (Jack); her parents, Ronald Shortall and Stella Shortall; her stepfather James Grouchey; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Sceviour.
She is survived by: her children, Ron (Susan), John (Jane Maher) and Heather (George O'Brien); her grandchildren, Scott Sceviour (Krysta), James Sceviour (Jennah), Mitchell Sceviour, Kayleigh and Erin O'Brien (Tyler Randell); her great grandchildren, Wyatt Sceviour, Jade and Jack Sceviour; her niece Christina (Gavin Loveless); her great-nephew Joseph; her great-niece Sadie; and her stepsiblings, Robert Grouchey (Corsie), James Grouchey (Ruth), Bernadette Moyse (Bill) and Rosemary McCarthy (Michael).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home - Mount Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's Parish (110 Ashford Dr, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7).
