He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Spurrell and Alfreda Spurrell; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Gladys Earles; and his brother-in-law Clarence Earles.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Renee (Trevor Budgell) and Justin (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jake, Olivia, Cole Budgell, Katie and Ben Spurrell; his siblings, Wayne (Mary) and Ruth Byrne (late Des); his siblings-in-law, Clyde Earles (Millie) and Sarah Earles; his cousins, Grace Sheppard and Ted Starkes (Betty); his friends, Fern and Wallace Goulding; and his nephew Donald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barretts Funeral Home (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Ascension (58 Smallwood Dr, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1B1).
