It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard Gordon Brown of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Cyril (Daisy Brown); his brother Charles; and his siblings-in-law, Leander Mills, John Rose, Joshua Payne and Pearl Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Kim Broomfield (Shawn), Paul Brown (Tammy) and Karen Leyte (Brad); his grandchildren, Aaron Fifield, Rebekah Leyte, Leah Slade (Nick), Andrea Leyte and Karter Brown; his great grandchild Sam Slade; his siblings, Marjorie Mills, Dulcie Davidge (Frank), Marilyn Butt (Steve), Doreen Waye (Winston) and Cyril Brown (Anne); and his sister-in-law Ada Payne.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home - Mount Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Elim Pentecostal Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the palliative care unit at the Miller Center.
